Founded in 2020 under the leadership of Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj and
initiated by his devoted disciple 108 Shri Avichalsagar Ji Maharaj, Daya Bhavana Foundation is dedicated
to the rescue and care of stray, abandoned, sick, injured, orphaned and stray animals. , with a special
focus on the revered cow, our nation's sacred animal.
Since its inception under the leadership of 108 Shri Avichalsagar Ji Maharaj, the foundation has built and
managed numerous shelters, known as "Acharya Vidyasagar Gaushala and Treatment Centers", located mainly in
the religious area of Sonagir in Datia district of Madhya Pradesh. . These sheds provide a safe and
nutritious environment for more than 500 cows, ensuring their well-being and dignity.
By March 2023, the foundation expects to acquire more than 60 additional gaushals from the state
government, which will house more than 5,000 cows. These Gaushalas will be managed and run solely by the
foundation and its volunteers without relying on any government assistance.
The Daya Bhavana Foundation is committed to combining its efforts in the admirable cause of cow
protection, with an emphasis on giving these revered creatures a home, wholesome food, clean water,
medical attention, and a life of dignity.
